Smile brings the Beauty to our Face

Once, there was a beauty competition for young kids in a school. So, the teacher announced that all students should dress up well and get prepared for the upcoming competition. So all kids tried their best to put up the best dresses and get groomed well. Now, the day of the competition came.

All kids were in their best dresses. They came on the stage one by one and introduced themselves, they were clad in the best of costumes but unfortunately, most of them were not seeming happy and joyful. It seemed the anxiety of competition had taken over them and they were not in the best of spirits. Out of so many of them, only one kid was cheerful, happy, and joyful. She has not only a charming dress but a heart-touching smile which touched the audience and also the judges.

Eventually, she won the competition. The judges announced that it was especially for the beautiful smile coupled with a glamorous outfit that shined upon her face which made them choose her over the rest.

Moral: A smile can create miracles, it makes our face shine with charm and beauty. It brings out the inner beauty of the soul. Smile along with external beauty and grooming makes a perfect personality and makes its way into the hearts of others.

Meditation commentary

Hello friends, Sharing a simple guided commentary for moving inwards into a meditative state. Let’s pause and take out some time for this quiet, inward journey. You can play a soft instrumental music in the background and slowly read these words, trying to feel them deeply. Begin by sitting in a comfortable posture, and allowing your eyes to close. Allow your breath to settle into its own rhythm. Pay close attention to your breathing cycle. Notice each breath, as it enters through your nostrils, travels down your lungs, and makes your belly expand. Notice your breath flowing outside through your nostrils, contracting your belly inwards. Observe and accept your experience in this moment without judgement. Now, we shall do a gradual relaxation of our body muscles. Bring your awareness to your body. ...

They feel good, when others shower them with compliments. They unconsciously base their esteem on outer appreciation, and seek reinforcement of value from others. They also feel they are less worthy and deserve less in comparison ...
