The Manager who greeted all

Once upon a time, there was a manager of a cold storage unit who was of a kind disposition. He was a cheerful person and full of life. He had a unique quality of greeting everyone he met. He was regular with his warm greetings as he entered and also while he left.

Everyone loved him for his warm gesture. One day it so happened, that he was by chance locked in a room while inspecting, and by mistake, the door was locked by the guard who was oblivious to his presence inside the room. The manager realized what happened and started shouting for help but no one came forward to help him.

His phone too went out of signal. He waited for some help with his fingers crossed. The main guard at the security felt that something was missing today. What? He realized that the manager did not greet him. He thought that normally it is not possible that the manager will forget to greet him, and it might be that he got trapped. So, he started checking the rooms one by one. And then, in one of the rooms, he found him. In this way, the manager was rescued!

Moral: Our good actions always return back, whatever good karma we do we always get good rewards for it. So, consciously and unconsciously, we should always try to benefit others. Benefiting others is one way of benefiting our own selves.

Waves, Winds, and Whispers — My Port Blair Story

I travelled to Port Blair with my sister from 28th October to 1st November, 2025. It felt like the perfect time to visit — the weather was pleasantly warm, the skies clear yet gentle, and the sea calm enough to welcome us. Budget-wise too, it was a great decision since it wasn’t the peak tourist season. There was a sense of ease everywhere — in the quiet beaches, in the slow rhythm of the island, and even in our own hearts. This was my first trip with my sister alone, and that made it special from the very beginning. I was excited and curious about what the journey would bring — not just in terms of places to see, but in the bond we would share. My intention was simple: to explore the island together, to laugh, to talk, and in the process, to understand each other a little more deeply. We spent around four nights and five days in Port Blair — a duration that felt just right. More than five days might have felt a bit repetitive since the island doesn’t have a vast number of places to ex...

Embracing the transitions in life with faith

“Change is the only thing that is constant in life.” We, as humans, undergo changes in our day-to-day lives. We experience change as a moment of unsettling and transition into something new. The intensity of change could be a major one whereby we undergo structural and systemic change transforming from one phase of life to another. This pushes us out from a static state of existence to a dynamic ever-changing being. We do feel a certain level of discomfort while going through these transitions, but having faith and hope in our hearts does make a great difference.  Let's take a moment to consider the underlying reasons why a change might be uncomfortable. Changes can represent transience and mortality. One significant transition in human existence that we all go through is death. Every change is a small death in itself, whereby the old dies and the new is born. As humans, we have a tendency to cling to life and have attachment to the existing state, I suppose this is one of the root...
