Deeper Knowing of the "I"

In this article, we are going to explore our deeper identity and understand it from a holistic perspective.  It is such a dilemma, that we try to gain awareness and knowledge about the whole world, but when it comes to our own selves we somehow lack connectivity with our deeper existence and have a shallow awareness of our own being. So friends, let us take out some time and meet our own self… Every human knows and recognizes his identity as his name and physical form. As the Self so the World appears

Once upon a time, there lived a family on the top of hills. There was, in that family, parents and a young boy and girl. The kids used to go to the tip of the mountains and play and have fun. One day, the boy went towards the tip and shouted, "I hate you!!" This voice echoed, came back, and as he hears the same voice, "I hate you!!"  he got sacred and felt "oh my gosh! Where is this voice coming from?" "…I hate you …" He ran back to his mom. He held her tightly and said, "Mummy, the mountain is shouting I Hate you!!" His mother understood the reason and asked him what he said to the mountains. The boy said that he shouted, "I hate you…" Then the mother made him understand that a phenomenon called echo happens, whereby whatever we send, hits us back and echoes… So if he said "I hate you" then this voice shall only return back. She then told him to go shout "I love you!!" So, the boy with his sister went out ...

The Desire for Awakening

Once upon a time, there was a Master who was Self-realized and lived in the internal area of a forest. There he was visited by many people who were looking for enlightenment and spiritual awakening. One day, a person came to him looking for spiritual awakening and insisted to be taken under the Master's discipleship. As he insisted a lot, the Master agreed to him. He gave him some karma yoga to do in the forest and the person was busy with that. Days, weeks passed, but there was no knowledge given to him or technique taught to him by the Master. So, the disciple got disappointed and thought of talking to the Master. He went to the Master and said that Venerable, it has been days that I have been working hard in the forests but you haven’t given me the knowledge of Self-realization. Please, guide me. So, the Master said, come with me. Saying that, he took him to a river nearby and put his mouth underwater. He started to feel suffocated and cried for air…The Master then took out his ...

The Power of Faith

Once upon a time, there was a priest in a village who was quite known for his religious achievements. He used to hold mass gatherings and give sermons and religious lectures to the people of the village to inspire them towards God. One day, an old woman who was very devotional towards God was listening to his lecture. He was saying that whoever takes the name of Ram and does anything, gets full success. Also, the impossible can be made possible by the name chanting of Ram. So, the old woman believed it totally. That day, she had to go to the other side of the shore to meet some of her relatives for some important purpose. Unfortunately, the boat was not available and she had to go, it was quite important. Then, she thought, let me chant the name of God and cross the water as the priest advised. She took the name of Ram and crossed the lake, and in the same way, she came back. While she was returning, she chanted and crossed over the lake by walking on it. This was like a miracle and ma...

The Manager who greeted all

Once upon a time, there was a manager of a cold storage unit who was of a kind disposition. He was a cheerful person and full of life. He had a unique quality of greeting everyone he met. He was regular with his warm greetings as he entered and also while he left. Everyone loved him for his warm gesture. One day it so happened, that he was by chance locked in a room while inspecting, and by mistake, the door was locked by the guard who was oblivious to his presence inside the room. The manager realized what happened and started shouting for help but no one came forward to help him. His phone too went out of signal. He waited for some help with his fingers crossed. The main guard at the security felt that something was missing today. What? He realized that the manager did not greet him. He thought that normally it is not possible that the manager will forget to greet him, and it might be that he got trapped. So, he started checking the rooms one by one. And then, in one of the rooms, he...

You and the World as One

Once upon a time, a father and his small child were sitting. The child was trying to solve a puzzle. It was a puzzle of the World Atlas of seven continents. He was unable to solve the puzzle. So, his father had a look and helped him to solve the riddle. The father quietly turned the puzzle pieces upside down and the pieces were of a human body. So, it was quite easy for the child to complete the puzzle. As soon as the child completed the puzzle, the father showed him that the puzzle upside down was the map of the whole world. So, as it was not easy for the child to solve the puzzle from world-perspective, but it became so easy when he tried to solve it from a human being's perspective. Moral: We as individuals represent the World, each one is a micro-unit of the big macrocosm of the world. We and the world are not separate units, but integrated as one. Self-change shall make a great impact on the world and bring a world change. Self-transformation shall bring world transformation.
